Get A VIP Tour Of PMT’s New London Music Shop
Our friends at Professional Music Technology are opening a new store in East London. PMT East London, which used to be known as PMT Romford, will be having a Big Opening Day on Saturday the 8th August. But before the Grand Opening, My Keyboard Lessons teachers and students can come and have sneaky preview of the shop from Saturday 1st August and enter PMT East London’s social selfie competition too. So make your way to 10-14 Eastern Avenue East!
PMT East London is almost three times as big as the previous shop in Romford. The new store will provide customers with more instruments and equipment to browse, specialist demonstration rooms to test products out and the extra space will also allow PMT to hold more evening and live music events. Take a closer look at what PMT East London will feature: An acoustic show room, plus a separate high-end acoustic section, filled with some of the best Martin and Taylor guitars available, which you can play privately on a large, comfortable sofa.
A Yamaha, Roland, Nord and Korg hi-tech area that contains the latest keyboards, synthesizers and MIDI controllers. A DJ and recording room where you can reference monitors, try out the latest Pioneer, Native Instruments and Numark gear and take a look at the best music software and microphones available.
A warehouse that has been converted into a Live Sound area, complete with an enormous electric guitar wall filled with Gibson and Fender galore, insulated Orange Amps, VOX and BOSS booths to demo amplifiers and effects pedals and a bass guitar wall too, displaying gorgeous Ibanez and Rickenbacker basses. PA systems are also set up in the Live Sound area, where you will be able to hear firsthand how your music will sound live in venues through awesome RCF, QSC, Bose and more. Plus there’s a stage for in-store live music performances!
A mezzanine, which runs the length of the Live Sound area on the first floor, will be devoted to Mapex, Pearl, Drum Workshop Inc and Tama drums. There will also be a cymbals room located on the first floor, packed with rows upon rows of Zildjian, Sabian and Paiste cymbals. 12 private parking spaces available on-site.
