Let’s talk about: Co-operatives. Seminar,

Friday, February 19th, 2016

Is a co-operative right for you? More and more people are choosing to start co-operatives. They offer a flexible model for new businesses and enable people to continue working together in an environment that values every contribution and encourages the sharing of expertise.

By giving ownership and control to the people closest to an organisation, co-ops can harness innovation, boost productivity and give people a stake in the work they love.

Join us at MU HQ for a seminar that will:

– Explain what a co-operative is and how it works,

– Explore some of the key issues and challenges when creating a co-operative, and

– Provide some guidance, hints and advice on forming your own co-operative.

You will have the opportunity to discuss all this and more with our panel of speakers including:

Barak Schmool, founder of the F-IRE Collective

David Barnard, founder of Swindon Music Co-operative

and representatives from Co-Operatives UK.

Wednesday 24 February 2016
6 pm – 8 pm

Venue: MU HQ, 60-62 Clapham Road, London SW9 0JJ
