Buckingham Pianist in Recital at Stowe School
An internationally acclaimed pianist who lives in Buckingham, is giving a recital at Stowe School on Wednesday, February 5.
Ingrid Jacoby performs throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America both in recital and as a soloist with the world’s major orchestras.
She has won numerous awards and competitions, including the Artists Presentation Award, the Steinway Hall Artists Prize, the Baldwin National Piano Competition and the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition.
Her highly acclaimed recital at Carnegie Hall was the result of receiving the Concert Artists Guild Award.
Since moving to England, Ingrid Jacoby has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Mozart Players and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, in the city’s major venues.
She has worked with many eminent conductors including Sir Neville Marriner, Sir Charles Mackerras, Leonard Slatkin, Jacek Kaspszyk, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Walter Susskind, and Lord Menuhin.
In June last year, she completed the first in a series of recordings of Mozart piano concerti with Sir Neville Marriner and the Academy of St Marin in the Fields, due to be released in March.
Ingrid Jacoby will be performing on a Steinway Model D concert grand piano in Stowe School’s Ugland Auditorium, as part of the school’s Chung Steinway Piano Concert Series. The performance, which includes work by Bach-Busoni, Schubert and Mussorgsky, starts at 7pm.

On Wednesday, February 12, the Adderbury Ensemble will perform in the State Music Room at Stowe. And on Wednesday, February 26, the recital in the Ugland Auditorium is by Martino Tirimo.
