Andy Bell Working On New Erasure Album
Vince Clarke confirmed on Twitter that Andy Bell has finished his first vocal takes for the upcoming Erasure Christmas album.
The fifteenth Erasure album’s title and producer have not yet been announced. In addition to this Vince had previously confirmed that Erasure will release an album featuring new recordings of their classic hits in an ambient style with a violin player at some point soon.
Vince Clarke tweeted, “Thursday:Just been listening to Andy’s first vocal takes for the next Erasure CD…(that boy should consider a career in music).”
Vince is, of course, referring to Erasure’s lead singer Andy Bell. Andy Bell was originally scheduled to be on tour this summer with the “Regeneration Tour,” but he recently put his involvement on hold following the Human Leagues withdrawal from the tour.
Clarke is also working on a new solo project and told the Quietus earlier this year that, “Yeah, it’s going to be an album where I collaborate with a few DJs and dance guys, I can’t say who they are yet as it’s still under negotiation.”
Vince Clarke and Andy Bell’s last worked together as Erasure on the 2011 album “Tomorrow’s World,” which was produced by up-and-coming British electronic artist Frankmusik. The release managed to make the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the top ten on the Billboard Dance Albums chart.
